Student Pursues Career in Computer Forensics

Student Background

Don Zeller is a former student in Janet Muirragui’s Introduction to Law class at Deer Valley High School. He loved learning about legal procedures in this class.

Program Description

Majoring in Computer Information Systems at California State University, Sacramento. Enrolled in a program to get certified as a computer forensics examiner.

Outcomes

Don states, “the classes for this program are pretty intense and rigorous, but I am learning fast and am interested in the material. I retained a lot of the legal information about case laws and litigation that we studied (in ROP). I love learning about the legal procedures involved in computer forensics, like evidence law and how to prepare the evidence for court as well as how to maintain its credibility when being questioned.” Don believes “without taking these classes, I don’t think I would have ever discovered that I have a knack for this stuff!”
