Retail Student Becomes Manager
Katie had a very disciplined childhood. As a teenager, she began investing time in things that she considered fun, at the detriment of her grades. By the time she reached her senior year of high school, Katie was in jeopardy of graduating. In order to graduate, she took night classes at a community college and enrolled in ROP Fashion Merchandising after school.
Katie learned how to work in a clothing store, make change and interact with customers. She had an internship in a retail store and decided that this could be a rewarding career for her.She said if it wasn’t for ROP she would not have graduated.
Katie worked her way up to store manager. She is currently in charge of the hiring, training, merchandising and other aspects of management. She loves her job!
