From Student to Teacher
Ever since Kaelin began teaching dance classes at her local dance studio when she was thirteen years old, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career that allowed her to work with children.
During her senior year of high school, Kaelin successfully completed ROP Careers with Children, helping her move closer to her career goal: Elementary School Teacher. During this class, Kaelin was able to gain experience working with students with special needs in an elementary school atmosphere. She also gained experience with preschool children. This helped her obtain employment while she continued her education.
While Kaelin worked on both her AA degree and Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, she was able to continue working in the early childhood education field. She even traveled abroad working for the US Department of Defense as a preschool teacher for a semester of her schooling. Kaelin has since completed a credential program and will be looking for employment in her dream job in the fall.
