Child Development Student Opens Preschool
In high school, Samantha Bunce decided to enroll in the Child Development and Education class at 49er ROP.
Samantha Bunce was a student in 49er ROP's Child Development and Education course. Her training site was at an in-home preschool. During her training, Samantha learned the do's and don'ts of running a business and the long hours a business owner puts in to make a business successful.
Samantha completed her ROP course, worked in a preschool and continued her education at Sierra College. She worked her way through college, averaging 50-hour work weeks. After completing college, she decided it was time to put all of her knowledge and experience to work by opening her own in-home preschool, Early Explorers. Samantha recalls the mock interviews and hours of work preparing her portfolio for her ROP class. Thankful for her experiences with ROP, Samantha says, "My ROP class was definitely life-changing. That's for sure!"
