One of CAROCPs most critical roles is representing the college and career readiness organizations through advocacy activities, including direct lobbying, media relations and public awareness.

The annual CAROCP conference helps you interact with other college and career readiness educators face to face. As an attendee, you choose from a variety of sessions across a wide range of subjects designed to help you take the most relevant information back to your classroom or office.
CAROCP keeps you on top of cutting-edge news from college and career readiness organizations around the state. CAROCP Connections is for our members and reports the most important feature stories and latest news affecting CAROCP and the career and technical education profession. This newsletter is prepared by the Executive Director, Randi Scott. This valuable resource is sent to you electronically five times a year.
Timely Legislative Updates
Our legislative advocates, Capitol Advisors, provide you with regular Legislative Alerts and Bill Tracking information on the current bills being discussed in the legislature. Also, CAROCP’s electronic Legislative Alerts provide breaking news on Sacramento activities that affect CTE funding and support.
CAROCP and the CDE co-sponsor annual “Model Practices and Programs” awards. This gives you an opportunity to nominate your outstanding programs and administrative practices for statewide recognition for outstanding work and dedication to career and technical education. New this year, CAROCP will be sponsoring a regional and statewide teacher and student Recognition Program.
